The two countries' cooperation will form stability in the region.

The Head of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Ahmad Alireza Beigi highly regarded Turkish President Erdogan's visit to Tehran, due to the developments in the region, saying that the visit could help make closer the positions of the two countries in different fields.

Iran and Turkey are two regional powers; they enjoy many commonalities, common history and old ties, through which they have witnessed many good and valuable cooperation, Beigi noted.

He added that there is good cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economy, investment and trade exchanges, so that Turkey has raised its trade volume with the Islamic Republic, to 30 billion dollars.

Alireza Beigi said that the two countries of Iran and Turkey have a common fate for the special situation in the region and the greed of great powers; recent events in Turkey, especially the coup d'etat indicates the fact and the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first country to condemn the event and support the Turkish government.

"The two countries' cooperation will form stability in the region," he underlined adding "the West seeks creating challenge in West Asia, and the scenario is being pursued by Zionists and Americans since the past; the cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Turkey will foil their plots."
