14 Experts to Speak on "The Power of Tomorrow" At CEPSI 2018

TNB is hosting the biennial event on behalf of the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific (AESIEAP).

The Conference of Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI 2018), to be hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will gather 14 thought leaders who will share their wealth of knowledge related to the electricity industry in Kuala Lumpur this coming September.

According to TNB Group Corporate Communication’s statement today, the experts will, among others, discuss and share the best practices on key topics like global trends and shifts, future utility, sustainability, innovation, digitalization, megatrends and also a smarter future for the industry.

They are Ken Koyama, Chief Economist and Managing Director of Institute of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ); Lara Olsen, Regional Manager, Business Development, Tesla Energy Asia Pacific;  Dr Hiroshi Okamoto, Executive Vice President of TEPCO Power Grid Inc; Dr Jonathan Woetzel, Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company; Dr Alexander Kotouc, Head of Product Management BMW i; Venu Nuguri, Senior Group Vice-President of ABB Group’s Power Grid Division, South Asia, Middle East and Africa; and Paul Scanlan, Chief Technology Officer, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

The other speakers are Jean-Pierre Faure, China, East Asia Pacific Region Leader of Grid Solutions (GE Power); James Chong, Managing Director, Accenture Digital (ASEAN); Kamal Ballout, Global Vice-President of Energy Segment, Nokia; D. John Yesuraj, General Manager (Research and Development), CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. India; Gavin Barfield, Chief Technology Advisor of MERALCO; Indranil Lahiri, President & CEO of Siemens Malaysia; and Sharbini Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Energy.

TNB is hosting the biennial event on behalf of the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific (AESIEAP). The last time TNB hosted CEPSI was in 1996.
